Assignment 2- Greeting Card

GREETINGS FROM JAPAN

Here are the original pictures used. I have changed all their properties some way or another. All these pictures, I have borrowed from google's search engine.

Greetings from Japan

To create this greeting card, it wasvery simple. I gathered a few pictures from the internet.

Firstly, i found some pictures of japanese ladies dressed in Kimonos. I masked the picture and adjusted its edges to create a soft cut out, and than adjusted their hue and saturation to give it a
a soft colour. I did the same steps for all the pictures but applied a different finishing technique, for example, for the people celebrating the Sakura celebration, I added a layer, and retouched the flowers with a light pink brush, to give it a lively look, I applied overlay in the layer properties.
The flowers looks much more brighter.

Than I added in the summer festival, the traditional fan, the Tokyo tower. For the fan, I used the filter technique.

I masked out the Tokyo tower and increased its colour intensity by adjusting the hue and saturation. I smoothly masked the edges and adjusted their feather and contrast.

I choose a polka dot image from the internet, and applied filter technique, and gave it a smudged look and reduced its transparency.

I also added a cropped sky, just behind the Tokyo tower. But I had to change the text, "Greetings from Japan" into another colour. And here is the final outcome.
Here is the final outcome, I spelt the word "greetings" wrongly, only realized after posting this blog.
